Ladoga Trophy

"The Ladoga Trophy is an intense 9 day competition across more than 1.200 km of every conceivable type of terrain around Lake Ladoga, to the north of Saint Petersburg in Russia. Among the challenges along the route are seemingly impossible river crossings, rocks bigger than the vehicles themselves to climb and vertiginous slopes to climb where winch skills are essential. A real feast for the eyes!"

The setting for this trophy challenge is around Lake Ladoga, one of Europe's largest lakes, in the beautiful region of Karelia in Russia. The competition, which runs from May 31st to June 8th, 2014, attracts more and more followers every year. Ladoga is near the Finnish border, north-east of Saint Petersburg, and connect the latter and Moscow to the Baltic.

The Ladoga Trophy is a true 4x4 adventure, adapted to all different categories of vehicles and competitors. Driving skills, mechanical skills and teamwork are truly put to the test!

Categories

Sport : TR-1, TR-2, TR-3, PROTO, ATV-Original, ATV-Open, ATV-SSV, ATV-Special
Adventure: Adventure, Adventure-Open, ATV-Adventure
Tourism: Discovery, Grand Tourism.

The sheer range of vehicles that compete in the Ladoga Trophy is really quite unique! From battle-worn, stock production Ladas to portal axelled buggies with fully independant suspension and all manner of Prototypes.

TR1: max 820 mm tyre diameter, no beadlocks. Only modification permitted is to fit a single winch.

TR2: 2 winches permitted. Portal axles only if stock production.

RAID: Same as TR2, challenges can be tackled in groups of 2 or 3 vehicles.

TR3 / PROTO: Free design. maximum tyre size: 37" for TR3 and 40"(1 mètre) for Protos. Diff lockers are allowed in both categories.

TOURISM: Same as TR1, but with 33" tyres for LWB vehicles. This category follows the same route as TR1, but is not against the clock.

OPEN TOURISM: Same as Tourism, but follows the TR2 route.

GRAND TOURISM GPS: Sat-nav fun! explore and discover local culture!

DISCOVERY: Mainly for spectators.
